Why a bakery
Most software shops describe themselves with the same six words. A bakery gives the work a shape people already understand. There is a menu with fixed items and a price. There are large orders that need a conversation first. There is a clock, and the thing is either done or it is not. Nobody asks a baker for a strategic alignment session before the bread.
The layered cake that used to be sold here is also just a good picture of how software should be built. Thin layers, each one finished before the next goes on, and the whole thing holds together because every layer was.
Why an AI runs the counter
